Abstract Development History of Shanghai Crude Oil Futures After five years since its listing, Shanghai crude oil futures hasgrown into the world‘s third largest crude oil futures, and is graduallybecoming a regional price influence of crude oil futures. During thepast five years, INE adjusted and optimized Shanghai crude oil futuresin time according to the market conditions, to ensure the stableoperation of the domestic crude oil market. It fully reflected thesystematic superiority and bearing capacity of crude oil futures in ourcountry, and established the benchmark for leading futures of theenergy and chemical industry chain. Shanghai Crude Oil Futures Price Influence Shanghai crude oil futures has effectively filled the benchmarkprice gap in Asia Pacific. At present, SC has both fully integrated intothe global crude oil price system, and retained a relative pricemovement independence based on the Chinese market conditions.From 2020 to 2022, the global crude oil market experienced drasticfluctuations. Shanghai crude oil futures navigated steadily in stormyseas, marching forward with Chinese characteristics while being inline with the international market. Shanghai Crude Oil Futures Serves Real IndustryThe fundamental starting point of Chinese futures market is toserve the real economy.
